I saw this cute pic the other day and thought, ‘hey! that’s really sweet. I’m going to give it a go myself’. So I had a play around with some blank cards and I think they worked pretty well. What do you think?

What you need:

– Blank cards or make your own by cutting up stiff card and folding

– A sewing machine and thread – for the bunting card (or you could hand-stitch or draw the line yourself)

– A permanent marker – for the candle card

– Various washi paper tapes

– Scissors

For the bunting card, sew (or draw) a curved line onto a card. Cut flag shapes from lengths of washi tape (keep the tape remnants to make cute tags like above) and stick along the line.

For the candle card, cut or tear lengths of tape and stick onto a card. Draw wicks and flames with a permanent marker.
