I realised after I shot this that it looks a lot like soup! But it isn’t, instead it’s a yummy, warming drink that is also good for you! Turmeric, honey and ginger are all natural healers and you can read more about the benefits of turmeric in a previous post here. This golden milk is great just before bed or when you are feeling a little under the weather. Plus it’s sunshiney colour will brighten up a gloomy winters day.
1 cup coconut milk (or half regular milk, half coconut milk)
4 slices fresh ginger
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric + extra for sprinkling
Place all ingredients except the extra turmeric in a small saucepan and heat until hot, but not boiling. Strain into a mug. Sprinkle with extra turmeric.
