So last week we had zombie eyeballs and this week it’s chocolate snake pits. These are super easy to whip up and can be made a day before.
You could make it even easier on yourself and use store-bought pudding mix if you were so inclined.
Chocolate snake pits
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup cornflour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
lots of gummy snake lollies (used a whole bag for 6 cups)
Place 1 cup of milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Meanwhile, whisk together the remaining milk, cornflour, cocoa and sugar.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the cocoa mixture to the hot milk. Whisk for 3-5 minutes or until the mixture thickens and turns pudding-like. Remove from the heat and whisk in the butter and vanilla.
Pour into little cups/dishes (I used these spotty baking cups) and refrigerate for 1 hour or until set. Top with gummy snakes to serve.
