I needed a wee break from Christmas blogging so I thought I would do a final garden update for the year. I didn’t realise quite how much it had all grown until I did a picture comparison. Check it out below.
I have had some successes and some failures but that’s all part of the process right? Hopefully all the veges don’t ripen just as we go away for Christmas!
Little beetroot are growing under what was initially just beet salad leaves.
The capsicums are just starting to bud. My sweet neighbour, who can only see part of my face over the fence – a la Home Improvement style – gave me another capsicum seedling yesterday so hopefully we will manage to stagger capsicums throughout the whole summer.
The passionfruit vine is going mad. Hopefully we will get some fruit this summer.
The zucchini plants are going crazy too. I am so tempted to eat the flowers but am told I need to leave them on so they can self-pollinate.
The sage is coming back with a vengeance, we have lots of cherry tomatoes on the vines, no thanks to our lawn mowing man who broke heaps of the branches, and the mint seems to be making a comeback after the major mint rust prune.
Who else out there has some goodies growing for summer?
