Today I am sharing a little secret with you, but let’s just keep it between us hey? Sometimes the lovely wooden backgrounds that I shoot on are actually vinyl!
I don’t have the space to store loads of big, heavy backgrounds at home so aside from my favourite marble slab and one distressed white wooden piece, I play around with these fun vinyl backgrounds that I bought on Etsy.
They have hundreds of different patterns from brick and wood to concrete, chevron and sparkles. And you only really need a 2ft x 2ft piece for any close-up food photography, so they are pretty reasonably priced too.
I bought mine from an Etsy site called SwankyPrints but I am sure there are other sellers out there if you go searching.
The above are examples of some mixed packs you can get from SwankyPrints just to give you an idea.
These are two images that have appeared on the blog using vinyl backgrounds. Cool huh?
So there you have it, my secret is out!
