Gingerbread syrup
 
 
Serves: 1½ cups
Ingredients
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan. Stir over high heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Bring to the boil. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until syrupy. Set aside to cool.
  3. Store the syrup in the fridge for up to 1 month.
